When I first met Kristin she came to me with all kinds of ideas for her wedding incorporating lots of bright colors and rich fabrics and textures. As things evolved, and her family grew; she changed her mind and opted to work with big, beautiful, bloomy sunflowers for her and Mario’s July wedding. I so wish more summer brides came to me requesting these locally grown, peak of the season beauties! I can think of few other flowers better suited for a summer soiree.
Their wedding took place at Lippincott Manor amid the beautiful seasonal gardens, with the Walkill River as the backdrop, so very little outdoor decor was really necessary. Kristin asked us to place the largest sunflowers we could find into mason jars to line the aisle. The look was very fresh and summery. The weather cooperated nicely and the sunshine seemed perfect with all of the cheerful yellow flowers.
The only accent color was pink. The couple asked me for pink rose petals for the aisle, in honor of their new baby girl! Congratulations Mario and Kristin, you have so many wonderful things to celebrate!!!
