Joe and Katie were such a great couple! I could just feel the love and sparks flying between them at our first meeting. They were so happy and giggly; they were (and I am certain, still are!) the kind of couple that instantly puts you in a good mood just being around them.
This adorable couple was really fond of Peonies and Garden Roses. Who isn’t, right? However since they were getting married in such a gardeny location, and had a rather large table count, I suggested mixing in a few wildflower elements to tie in with the surroundings and keep their costs reasonable. Katie and Joe supplied some of their own decor including miniature chalkboard table numbers, tissue paper pom poms (which they attached to the beams extending across the ceiling), and votive candles on the tables. These were all lovely additions to their special day. However my very favorite element was the vintage cake topper displayed near the sweetheart table. Katie was lucky enough to have this very special heirloom present at her wedding, which had been present at weddings in her family for the past 100 years!
The main flowers we used for this event were: Peonies, Roses, Sweetheart Roses, Astilbe, Freesia, Hydrangea, Novelty Chrysanthemums, Statice, Queen Anne’s Lace, and Daisies. As most of you know, I’m not a huge fan of yellow; however weddings such as these always manage to change my mind! I honestly feel that this was the most perfect color scheme for such a cheerful and happy couple.
Congratulations Joe and Katie!!!
