For quite some time now I have wanted to participate in the “Lonely Bouquet Project”. http://www.thelonelybouquet.com/ Well, just this past week, we paired up with Melissa Surprise to do our first drop (Violet, my three year old, came along for the excitement too!). It was one of the COLDEST and windiest days yet, as you can see from the photos, and the cellophane wrapped bouquet. But it was well worth it to be able to finally do this!
This was such a positive experience, I have decided that I am going to continue this habit, but in order to do so, some type of positive thing has to happen for a Lonely Bouquet to show up. Today was a pretty good day for our Flower Market sales, but what really made my day was receiving a phone call from one of last week’s customers, still raving about how blown away she was by our Garden Roses and one of our “Mini” arrangements. This is a phone call I wish on all new businesses! Even though A Night in Bloom has been around for some time now, this Flower Market venture is still a scary one, so hearing such positive feedback really helps to remind me that I am headed in the right direction.
So to put out more positive vibes into the world today, I had Bryan and the kiddos place another Lonely Bouquet across the street at the Post Office, while they hid out and watched! Violet was delighted and Matthew was sad to see it go, but in the end another “mystery adopter” walked away with something to brighten up her day.
We have still yet to hear who the lucky “adopters” were in either event, but we will keep you posted if we do!
HUGE thank you to Melissa for coming along on this adventure with us, for suggesting such a great location, and for lending us her unstoppable, artistic eye! Be sure to check her out at: http://www.surprisephotography.com
There will be plenty more That’s Fabulous Friday’s ahead of us, as wedding season comes to a close. Stay tuned, you don’t want to miss a minute of any of it!!!
Have a great weekend all!
